to fall for them get what they deserve?

Example 1: Man, standing outside near a car wreck and police cars with flashing lights, calls insurance company saying he “needs insurance right away.” Agent on the other side of the phone assures the man that he can help.

Example 2: Commercial implies that, if we are caught driving without insurance, we will be taken to jail and the car will be confiscated.
(This happened to a close friend. Bad to drive illegally, yes; but the penalty is a ticket and fine, not jail/car confiscation.)

My fiance has a $30,000 trust with them but the number she had for them no longer works. In their last conversation, she indicated that they were sending a check to her. However, at that point, she asked them to wire the funds directly into our account. Since that phone conversation, the number she had been using stopped working. It goes through but all we get is silence until it disconnects us.

Do grey wolves reside in the state of Illinois?

I live in Decatur, Illinois. On Monday, May 14th 2007, at exactally 4:00am I saw a Timber “Grey” wolf. I was driving on the outside of town when I saw something run out into the road. At first I didn't know what it was and then once I was within 15 feet of it, I realized it was a very large “dog.” I stopped the car on the highway (no one was on the road at that hour) and got within 5 feet of it, staying in my car the entire time. It stopped in the middle of the road, turned around looked right at me, and then trotted off….turning around several times to see where I was at. It was greyish tan….it's the easiest way to describe it. Later on Monday night I was driving in a small town outside Decatur, when a Coyote crossed the road in front of me. Now, seeing both animals I am SURE that it was a wolf I saw earlier that morning. I was told they are extinct in this region…is there a comeback? Any information regarding this would be helpful! Thanks!

Is it possible to change circuit court jurisdiction from michigan to illinois when a fugitive is arrested?

If you are dealing with a crime committed in Michigan and the fugitive was found in Illinois then the answer would be no, the state where the crime was committed absolutely has the right to prosecute the accused in the state where the crime took place. A judge cannot unilaterally waive the state's right to do this, a governor may have the right depending upon the laws of the state. This is because the governor is the head of the executive branch, which is charged with enforcing the laws of the state. A judge is not permitted because he is a representative of the judicial branch, which is tasked with resolving conflicts (generally).

The state where the accused was found has the right to prosecute the accused for any crime that the accused may have committed in that state while a fugitive from the law in the first state. The second state may be permitted to refrain from returning the fugitive for the purposes of prosecution, but eventually the accused will be returned o the original state for processing.

Generally, when a person is captured in a state other than where they committed the crime, they are entitled to an extradition hearing in the courts of the state where they were capture. However, this hearing is only to determine if the accused should be returned to the state where the accused fled from. In 99.99% of the time the accused is ordered to be returned to the state where the crime took place. An extradition hearing can be waived by the accused and be summarily returned to the state seeking the accused.
